About the Artist

Sarah Polenick is based in Astoria, Oregon and is passionate about travel, family, faith, her community, and of course, art. She enjoys oil painting both in studio and en plein air, on location outdoors. While she loves combining travel and art, absorbing everything she can from museums, and being inspired by and painting in locations around the world, its Astoria and the Oregon Coast that hold her heart and always draw her back. 

Sarah spent years in Arizona, and there her mural painting took off. She has completed over 100 murals across the Southwest, with a large number around Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. With her return to Oregon, she has shifted her focus to the West Coast although continues back for commissioned projects. Her paintings and murals can be found in private homes, vacation rentals, and commercial spaces.

She believes art is about more than just the image... it's about purpose, intention. Whether telling a story, sparking a question, or simply offering a necessary moment in the midst of the chaotic or mundane, her work is intended to speak with the viewer. She loves painting lovely art, but her passion is creating beautiful pieces that do more than sit still and look pretty.

Sarah is a proud member of the Oil Painters of America (OPA), the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA), and the International Association of Art (IAA-AIAP).
